Welcome to etrr-2 home page.

ETRR-2 reactor is a Multipurpose Reactor MPR at Inshas , Cairo Egypt. ETRR-2 is a 22 Mw open pool type Multipurpose Reactor and maximum thermal neutron flux of 2.7x10¹⁴ n cm^-2 s^-1 (neutron trap). the reactor is located at Inshas site of the Egypt Atomic Energy Authority ( EAEA ) 60 km from Cairo-Egypt.

Our Mission

ETRR-2 reactor is Multipurpose Reactor MPR at Inshas, aims at the production of radioisotopes for industrial and medical applications, research on neutron physics and personal training. the reactor features several beam tubes, hot cells and other research equipment.
